Mary Jane Litchard, Nome, sharing edible greens harvested in the Nome area. Avid picker, she also uses wild herbs to create salves for medicinal uses!
From top to bottom: young aluigak (sour dock), willow green, Rose root, iviakluk (sasafrage) and ivik (pink plumes leaf). Mix them up with a little seal oil and eat it lunch and dinner.
